This category recognises excellence in written journalism for a news/feature article suitable for print or digital media that addresses stories or issues related to food sustainability. This category celebrates outstanding coverage of these topics through distinctive, accurate and original reporting. Entries will be judged on their coherence and relevance, depth and quality of reporting and originality and creativity.
This category is open to professional staff journalists, bloggers, freelancers and individuals.
All entries should focus on stories and issues around the theme of food sustainability.
Individuals may submit a maximum of one entry per category.
In this category, only unpublished and original materials will be eligible for submission.
Only one single article can be submitted. A series of articles will not be accepted.
Entrants must submit their individual and personal work.
All entries must be submitted in English (or translated into English).
The suggested length of work submitted for this category is no longer than 1500 words.
Entries can be submitted from 15th January 2018 to midnight on 31st May 2018 (London time).
The Food Sustainability Media Awards administrators and judging panel will have the final authority to determine eligibility of an entry.
For the Award’s two categories, both published and unpublished work can be submitted. Published and unpublished entries will be judged separately.
In addition, published and unpublished finalists in both categories will be put forward for the Best of the Web Award. The winner of this award will be chosen by the public.
